Mt. Sterling StoryWalk® Opens

Mt. Sterling now has a StoryWalk® at Bott’s Park! Leadership Montgomery County worked in partnership with our library and Mt. Sterling Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to help bring a StoryWalk® installation to our community.

Come read the first StoryWalk® book If You Give a Pig a Pancake at Bott’s park, and check back periodically for new books through Leadership Montgomery County’s partnership with us!

What is a StoryWalk®?

A StoryWalk® is a way for both children and adults to enjoy reading while spending time outdoors through an interactive storytelling experience. A children’s storybook is placed on wooden kiosks along a walking path. By the end of the path, a child will have read an entire children’s book while enjoying time outdoors! StoryWalk® installations help to promote early literacy throughout childhood, and aim to connect children to both books and the outdoors.

Take advantage of this new installation and go enjoy Bott’s Park while finishing a book at the same time! We want to extend our thanks once again to Leadership Montgomery County for bringing a StoryWalk® to us, and we look forward to providing more fun stories for kids to read.
